AYSOs Safe Haven, CDC Concussion, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and SafeSport need to be completed before attending in-person trainings. How to access AYSOU

Regional Referee Companion Course Part 2

When:  August 17, 2024

Where: Sierra Soccer Field 9230 Greenleaf Ave, Whittier, CA 90602

Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm

This is an In-Person course to complete your Referee Certification.

It is extremely important that you complete the required online training described below.

The Online portion is where you get to learn about the Laws of the Game.

Our in-class portion is designed to review the Laws, go over some examples of Offside, and answer any questions.

This Regional Referee Online Companion course is Part 2 of the Regional Referee Training (Part 1) provided Online.

Here are the steps you need to complete prior to refereeing a game:

·         Click on the “AYSOU" button, then on "Training Library", then "Refereeing - View Courses”.

·         Take the Regional Referee - Online+ In-Person Companion Course: This is an online course about the Laws of the game.

·         Pass a written test about the Laws and AYSO philosophies.

In addition, every volunteer needs to complete the following online safety-related items:

1.      AYSO's Safe Haven

2.      CDC Concussion Awareness

3.      Sudden Cardiac Arrest

4.      SafeSport (not required for youth referees)

5.      LiveScan Fingerprinting (not required for youth referees.
