Welcome AYSO Parents!

AYSO and Region 75 need your help to ensure a successful season.

Join your team on the Stack Team App

  • Learn the game-the best way to learn the game is to attend a referee course. We offer courses in every city. Go to eayso.org to sign-up.
  • Volunteer-When parents help out, everyone wins! As you may already know, AYSO is an all-volunteer organization. With every new season comes a need for your help as a volunteer. You can help out today by becoming a coach, referee, board member or team parent. There is also a need for registration, picture day and field maintenance helpers. If you are interested in donating your time and energy fill out a volunteer form @ www.eayso.com. To inquire about volunteering, use the contact us tab to email.
  • Be a respectful spectator by using trash cans for trash, leaving your pet at home, and by allowing the referees to do their job on the field. Volunteer staff is there to make sure the game is enjoyable and safe for the players. Under exceptional circumstances, unruly spectators may be asked to leave the field.
  • Teach good sportsmanship by making sure your child attends and is on-time for practices and games. Players must wear shin guards at practice and at games. A ready-to-play soccer player attends practice and games with water or a sports drink to stay hydrated, their own soccer ball, cleats, and shin guards.
  • Please remember that coaches are not baby sitters; if you are dropping your player off make sure they have everything they need and that you are on-time to pick them up. The coach should be able to reach you at all times.

During the season each team must help with the snack shack and field painting. All teams will be assigned days and times to volunteer.

FAQ’s

When can I expect to hear from my child’s coach? Teams are handed out around the end of July. Practices can begin as early as August 1st. It is up to the coach to decide when to begin practice and have the first team meeting. You should hear from the coach by mid-August.

Who do I contact if I haven’t heard from my child’s coach? Please be patient, many families are on vacation during the summer months. If you haven’t heard from a coach by the 2nd week of August or if you have changes phone numbers, you can use the contact us tab to send a league email. The email will be forwarded to the team coach or to the child’s division coordinator.

Will my child receive a medal or trophy at the end of the season? U5, U6, & U8 divisions are instructional/recreational divisions. All players in those divisions will receive either a medal or trophy at the end of the season. U10-U14 are competitive divisions only teams placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd will receive a medal or trophy. U16 & U19 medals and trophies are handled through Area 11E for 1st through 3rd place.

How long is the season? Each season is approximately 10-weeks. Fall is our main season; practices & games begin in August. In addition to the regular season, teams may participate in post-season playoffs and travel to other regions to play during the month of January. It is the aim of Region 75 to end all fall season games and regional playoffs by or around Thanksgiving. Playoffs determine which teams will travel to represent Region 75 in Area and Section play. The travel season takes place on Saturdays in January.

What is included in my registration fee? Uniform (jersey, shorts, socks), yearbook, and basic photo package & Reimbursement Insurance (SAI).

How are teams created? Teams are created differently depending on age/division.

U-5 is played jamboree style. All boys are on one team and all girls are on another team. There is one Master head coach and a group of parent volunteers who serve as assistant coaches. Parent volunteers must have a volunteer form submitted Prior to September 5, 2016.

U-6 teams are created mostly by school. Parents may request players be placed on the same team by writing the other child’s name in the registration application. The division coordinator and/or Team Formation Coordinator will make their best effort to place the kids together.

U-8 teams are created similarly to U-6 other than that the coordinator attempts to balance the teams by having the same number of older and younger players on each team. Example- four- six-year-old players and 3 7-year-old players if at all possible.

U10-U14 teams are created by computer draft. All competitive divisions rate players by skill level. Coaches turn in a player evaluation with player ratings. If the player is new to Region 75, they perform a skill test prior to the season around registration. Before the season begins, in early July each year, players are placed in the draft, skill levels are balanced by the National computer program and players are chosen from each skill level bracket at random. We do not stack any teams.

U16 & U19 teams take registration until they reach a full team maximum of 18 on the roster.

Is there a more competitive program within AYSO? Yes, AYSO offers a Flex program named EXTRA. Shortly after our first registration we set up tryouts for Flex Program that are open to all players from U-9 through U-14. If it is determined by the evaluators and board staff that we have a team that can be competitive traveling to other regions without adversely affecting the regular league, then an Extra team will be formed. There is an additional fee to play Extra. Fees cover tournaments and an additional uniform. In addition to Extra, registered players may try out for Pacific Soccer Club through Area 11E. For more information on PSC, go to the Area 11 E website www.area11e.org.

How can my child play soccer during the Spring season? Spring Select is typically a coach driven season. It is not open registration the way Fall is. If a coach wants to form a team, they invite players to register from the Fall Season. The team travels to other regions for away games. Spring Select is open to all age groups. If you want your child to play in the Spring, the best way to get a team going is to communicate with other parents to see if a team can be formed. You must have a team coach and referees. Teams can designate themselves as competitive or recreational. If a team has 3 or more All-Star players, then (Area E) automatically places them in the competitive pool.

What is the Turkey Tournament? The Turkey Tournament is an AYSO tournament that takes place each Thanksgiving weekend in Cerritos, CA. Region 75 typically participates in this tournament each Fall season due to its timing and close proximity to our region. Coaches meet during the Fall season to nominate the best players in our league to participate. Players are responsible for tournament fees.

What is All-Stars? All-Stars is a short season that takes place in between the Fall and Spring seasons (December/January). Players are nominated by their coach and are voted on to a teams. These teams then represent Region 75 in Area play. There is no additional fee for All-Star players.

We will be adding additional FAQ’s and information to our website in the upcoming months once the pre-season progresses. Please check back regularly at our website at www.ayso75.org.
